What We Are Looking For

Senior DevOps Specialists at Two Hat are internally motivated and passionate about delivering and building operating systems. A technical expert responsible for delivering solutions for our customers working within tight deadlines and competing deliverables.


Our systems process 100B+ human interactions every month. We are looking for a rare breed of DevOps Specialists, someone that has setup and run automated DevOps at a truly large scale on cloud native infrastructure. Two Hat DevOps specialists are hands-ons platform builders and owners with significant experience designing, testing, deploying, maintaining, operating and enhancing systems. They are energized by big technical challenges and want to work where they can have an impact.


A key contributor to the Engineering Team, the Senior DevOps Specialist is responsible for building the infrastructure and  tools to deliver, monitor, deploy and operate CommunitySift’s ability to process data at massive scale.


As our Senior DevOps Specialist you:

  • Bring in new technology and techniques to enable our teams to move even faster
  • Work to support development and deliver company products through fast, agile, and reliable engineering practices.
  • Identify design and infrastructure problems and design solutions in collaboration with other engineers in the engineering department.
  • Be accountable for tools (Monitoring, Deployment, CI/CD Pipelines) that make it possible to operate our platforms.
  • Develop and debug automation between tools in our development chain (requirements management, change management, version control, peer review, unit testing, load testing and integration testing).
  • Effectively communicate status, obstacles and challenges in the development process.
  • Write, maintain and review Infrastructure as Code for company products.
  • Support architectural discussions and decisions.
  • Advise on the selection of the most appropriate infrastructures deployment to ensure we have cost optimized, scalable, reliable, zero down time solutions that meet our SLA’s
  • Ensure infrastructure is secure and updates are regularly performed on systems
  • Manage networks and VPC’s for Two Hat’s solutions
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across Two Hat’s environments
  • Mentoring team members on DevOps and operational practices, tools and Two Hat platforms


Who You Are

You believe in our mission and are passionate about removing negativity from online communities.


You have a completed degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline and have excellent time management skills and communication; both written and verbal. You have a strong understanding of Cloud technologies, System Engineering, and best practices for Security.


You have 5+ years of development and delivery experience building, deploying, and operating high availability SaaS applications in a cloud environment with a passion for cutting-edge web and DevOps technologies. That experience includes:

  • Working in high scale cloud first technologies
  • Python, Bash and other UNIX technologies
  • Working with Linux
  • Infrastructure technologies (Docker, Terraform, Puppet, Kubernetes)
  • Building automation technologies (Jenkins, GitLab and CI/CD)
  • Cloudwatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Pagerduty, Pingdom, ELK Stack
  • Sql and No-Sql Databases at scale
  • A strong understanding of Git/GitLab/Github and JIRA
  • Building, deploying and operating web applications
  • Working with AWS, Azure experience is considered an asset
  • Working as a thought leader within an Agile environment
